FAQ

Q1:The main difference between AC Charger and DC Charger
A:  The difference between AC charging and DC charging is the location where the AC power gets converted; inside or outside the car. Unlike AC chargers, a DC charger has the converter inside the charger itself. That means it can feed power directly to the car‘s battery and doesn‘t need the on-board charger to convert it.

Q2: Where can I charge my car?
A:   At home in a private/ driveway, or at a designated parking spot or shared parking facility(common, for apartments).
At office building‘s parking facility, either reserved or (semi) public. In public along streets, on the highway, and at any public parking facility you can think of e.g: shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, hospitals etc.

Q3: Is the home charging station safe?
A:   Yes. The charging station is designed that no electricity flows through the cord or coupler until after it is connected to the vehicle. As a further safety feature, once connected, your EV will not allow you to move while the charging station is plugged in.

Q4: How much do we need to maintain a charger?
A:   Very little. Despite being an advanced technology, electric cars are remarkably simple to maintain. It it the same for EV charging stations. If installed properly and build module ( like YINGLI TECHNOLOGY‘S Stations) every piece can be easily replaced. Charging stations with online connectivity also enable to be remote diagnosed and repaired. All our products have a two-year warranty.

Q5: Can I charge my car on any charger?
A:   Yes and no. Just like regular electricity outlets, charging stations may have different outlets and connectors depending on the country where you‘re charging and your car brand‘s sourcing area. To make things less complicated, car manufacturers and most countries have now reduced options to just 2 types of outlets and connectors. From the cars side, a Type 1 socket is common for Japanese and American vehicles, and a Type 2 socket is common for European vehicles.
Note: all Tesla models have a specific type of socket in the US, whereas in Europe, all Tesla models are quipped with a Type 2 socket. From the charging station‘s side, all chargers in both Europe and the US are equipped with a Type 2 socket. A charging station with a fixed cable is an exception, in this case, you would always have to check if the attached cable fits into your car‘s socket.

Q6: Can I add user cards myself?
A:   No, you can‘t. The user cards quantities should be customized when you place the order.
